The Beaver Valley Artists is a group of working artists and art admirers. The group was formed in 1977 as the Association of Valley Artists and Craftsmen, within Beaver County, a community of about 200,000 in Western Pennsylvania. Since then its charter membership of 41 has grown and become a source of cultural enrichment for our community. BVA has proudly held 29 annual art exhibitions, and well over 100 demonstration programs by various talented artists, some having international recognition.
Members range from self-taught weekend painters to professionals, including art instructors, commercial artists, as well, as artists working in three dimensional media.
Every spring, the BVA holds its Annual Beaver Valley Artists Exhibition at the renowned Merrick Art Gallery, in New Brighton, PA. The public is invited to attend the exhibition's opening and artist's reception.
