Myrna Ortinberg

Since my youth, I have always been fascinated by the world of art.  Now, as an abstract artist, I paint mainly in watercolors, acrylics, and pastels.  A realistic artist is admired for his or her technical ability and beauty.  I wish to be freer.  In my “minds eye”, colors and shapes can differ from the real ones.  The imagination can run rampant.  A painting can be a dream, an experience, a mystery, a fairy tale or several of these put together.  I have a strong feeling about the subject matter I wish to express. Creativity is endless for me.

As an abstract expressionist, I feel that my creations will cause the viewer much curiosity as to my motives.
